The Infectious Diseases (ID) clinic provides investigation and management of a wide range of infections and infection-associated conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Common infectious diseases such as:
    • Pneumonia
    • Urinary tract infections
    • Skin and soft tissue infections
    • Bone infections
    • Diabetic foot infections
    • Meningitis and encephalitis
  • Outpatient antimicrobial therapy (OPAT)
  • Healthcare associated infections such as MRSA, Clostridium Difficile infection, vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE)
  • Fever of unknown origin
  • Endocarditis
  • Viral hepatitis
  • Tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI)
  • Lyme disease and tick borne illnesses
  • Infection management in immunocompromised patients
    • Congential immunodeficiency
    • HIV infection
    • Treatment induced immunodeficiency including chemotherapy and immunosuppressive agents
